About Me

Email development enables me to take my design skills to the next level. I challenge myself to create standout content that people love to share and will inspire consumer engagement with a company’s product or service. I’ve always been interested in the advancement of digital technology and how we can exchange ideas instantaneously.

Peanut Butter Cups = My Design & Code Sensibility?

Like my favorite candy peanut butter cups, a match made in heaven of chocolate and peanut butter, email design and development are the perfect combination for applying my coding and design skills. My attention to detail is an essential element I bring to every email marketing campaign. I strive to automate tasks and save time by using the command line. Using this software has enhanced my expertise and has made my design and coding workflow more enjoyable.

My Experience Setting Up Email Campaigns

Among my email marketing experience, I designed and managed monthly email campaigns through Mailchimp for a commercial real estate agent. I maintained a system to gain subscribers for the mailing list. I mapped out the process as follows: When a subscriber clicks an email, they are sent to a landing page that features a subscriber form. After the person submits their info, a thank you page is generated, confirming them as a new subscriber. I also monitored the status of the overall subscriber list by downloading the Excel file from MailChimp.

Passion Projects Lead To Better Coding

On my own personal time I strive to challenge myself with my own creative projects. Two of my favorite projects focused on experimenting with animating SVGs. During the holidays I designed an animated E-Christmas card to send to my friends and family. I used SVG code and discovered the best technique to manipulate it with CSS and Greensock, a JavaScript animation library.

The other project that helped me grow tremendously as a designer and coder was designing my own website. I took the opportunity to dive deep and use SVG’s vector information in an unconventional way by coding an entire website filled with SVGs. The site was built to promote a web series pilot I had written and produced. The standout feature was a front-page animation with puzzle pieces.

These two personal projects were a lot of fun and stretched my technical and creative boundaries. These creations have helped me build better emails and landing pages.
